Makes 6 Popovers
You really need to buy a popover pan for these. If you don’t have one you can use a cupcake pan and you will probably get about 8-12 because the cupcake cups are much smaller.
1 ½ cups flour
1 ½ Tbsp Unsalted butter, melted
¼ tsp salt
1 ½ cups whole milk (room temperature)
4 large eggs (room temperature)
Preheat oven to 425° F. Combine flour and salt in a medium bowl. Stir in butter and milk and then beat in eggs until batter is completely blended.
Grease pans with softened butter. Place in oven and heat about 2 minutes to pre-heat. Fill each cup 2/3 full and bake at 425°F for 30 minutes. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN WHILE THEY ARE COOKING-THEY NEED ABSOLUTE PRIVACY TO EXPAND PROPERLY.
Serve piping hot!
